FCFC weekly news

Citizens!The weekend kicked off on Friday with our traditional FCFC Xmas Party, and with nearly 50 people making the most of Luga’s 4star Michelin dinner and the free booze, it was another huge success. Special mentions go to Manuel for showing all the new boys how it’s done and earning himself a free FCFC tracksuit, Jimbo for redecorating the Lugas toilet (and his own trousers in the process), Eduardo for his crowd surfing and Sheff donkey of the night for taking approximately 5 minutes to down his Tsingdao in the traditional Boat race!On the Pitch, City made it 11 wins in 11 games in the league, with another important 2-0 win against title contenders French Le. Old boy Rafi volleyed in the opener in the 1st half and Ivan punished them late in the 2nd half to make it 2-0 after 90 minutes. Top of the league with 33 points, a 5 point gap, best defense and most goals scored WE ARE CITY. Fantastic.Later that same day, The Palace boys joined forces with City at Lugas after their win against the Red Cards. Manuel, Adam N and Lucho with one goal a piece made sure the Dwellers claimed their 3rd win in a row. Palace remain in 4th spot close to the top 3!! Booya.This week we also say goodbye to old school Ryan “Waggers”, Marcel and Eduardo. All the best guys and be sure to keep in touch.We have nearly 2 months before the leagues kick off again, training will resume in January/Feb and in the meantime if you are up for it, Futsal on Mondays is a great way to stay in shape and have some great fun. (CIS on Liangmaqiao Lu 8-10pm).It’s been an absolute pleasure playing with you all, let’s make sure we keep this up in 2011. FCFC weeklyyyyyyyy newssssssssssssss

Citizens,2 resounding victories for the club this week. PAAALACE kicked off the tequila fuelled weekend with a 10-0 win over Dulwich Lions. Matty Costello hit the net 3 times, Jim So and Ally managed a couple each, Kieran, Manuel, and Charles finished them off. BIG. Palace remain in 4th position close behind the top 3.On Sunday, CCCCIIIITYYYYY came back from 1 nil down in the second half to make it 2-1 against Afrika United, their biggest Rivals. Wow what a game! Ivan put us level in the 70th minute, and with ten minutes to go, Matty “on Parole” Dunn hit the sweet winner. City have now won 10 out of 10 games in the league and are top of the table, 5 points clear. (you can check out the city stats/match report)Remember it’s Baby Jesus Bday/ Hanukkha/ end of first part of the season etc….Party this Friday, if you haven’t yet RSVPd please do so, we would love to see everybody come down to Luga’s Villa for some civilized partying. Citizens,It’s been another cracking weekend for the club with 2 major victories for both City and Palace.On Saturday, The Palace boys minus the alcohol poisoned Eduardo banged 8 goals past former Premier league team Athletico to make it 8-1. Joachim and Charles both scored a Hat trick, Matt Costello and Kieran managed one each. No stopping you now!Sunday, City faced a strong title battling Sexy FC team. On Saturday, Palace goal scorers Matt Costello, Kieran and Jim So made sure the team had an awesome second half come-back, iHowever it was the opposition’s turn to score a last minute goal, making it 4:3 to the Celtic in the end. Better luck next time, keep it up!City had a tough game against old foes Barbarians but still managed to fire a couple of goals past them while maintaining a clean sheet. Citizens,Another week of football success for the club. Palace was once again a tad unlucky to walk away from their game with just 1 point. In their 3-3 draw against SDB FC, Stefan scored a double from the penalty spot and Mikey hit the equalizer with the last kick of the game. Summer Palace are now fourth only a few points short of top spot.City managed yet again to completely outscore one of the best teams in the Premier league, winning 7-1 against the Hispano-Japanese team Fortuna 94. B-live opened the flood gates in the 1st half with a well taken left footed strike, followed with yet again a hat-trick from the Poneytailed Wudaoku Wizard. Philippe, Adam F and Ally managed one each. City are top of the league! Citizens,The footballing weekend saw both teams work hard to earn great results: Palace early on Sunday fought hard to salvage a point from a game they had dominated throughout. Kieran scored the first and Yasir in the dying seconds hit the equalizer to make it 2-2. Palace remain 3rd in the 1st division league.City also took in 2 goals but answered back with a whopping 10 goals against (despite the score) a very good Strollers side. Aaron and Ivan both scored a Hatrick, Andy 2, Ally and Ben Roberts 1 each. (stats website updated). City are top of the premier leaguelet’s keep that form up Lads!!More importantly this month saw both Alex Henderson and Jason Muhl become 1st time Papas, and Baz, just a few days ago become a father for the second time. Congrats guys and our best wishes to your families! Citizens,A great start to the season with victories over the weekend for Both Summer Palace (3-0) and Forbidden City (5-0). Palace managed to secure all 3 points with goals from new boys Manuel and Gabriel and old school winger Rowan to make it 3-0 against the young side: Lao Hu Internazionale.City squeezed 5 goals passed the Italians of Azzurri and just like Palace, managed to keep a clean sheet. The goals came from Matty, Ally 2, Ivan and Andy (you can check out the updated stats website)In this game too, new boys Ally, Du, Daniel, Gabriel and Sean all made a great impression.Highlights of the week included: Darren’s wedding, Congrats mate from all the lads, Tom “johnny Clegg” Ludlam’s last game, make sure you come back mate! & Benny Wu the Indestructible finally out of hospital and joining up with the team to share a few well earned…..sprites after the game.
