PS: Azzurri game might happen this Wednesday – but i doubt it very much. we are waiting for the league and Azzurri to get back to us.
City,10 out of 10 so far lads…1 more to go before we can take a well earned break. Can you make it on Sunday 11 am vs French Le? Squad selected will be aiming to get to the pitch by 10:10am.Can you make it? are you available? please RSVP NOWIt will be a another tough, bone crunching game, the kind we train for, let’s stay focused and smash them. Thanks,Philippe
Hey guys,What a game on Sunday!! A hard fought battle, with nerve racking moments and a bit too much shouting (heavily including myself here), that keeps us on top of the table with now a 5 point lead.(Afrika have a game in hand). Nice work out there even if at times we didn’t quite play as we wanted to/can. Importantly, we once again showed immense character and kept at it for the entire game. This week another great game awaits us, we take on Afrika on Sunday 1pm Lido. For good measure and solid preparation I’ll be asking you to make it to the pitch by 12pm. So can you make it? are you AVAILABLE? please RSVP NOW.Thanks guys and see you in trainingyou know it…There’s only one Forbidden City!PhilippePS: if you’ve received Patrick’s email for Saturday please answer if you can play both games / available for one or the other etc… Patrick, Ben and I will then decide on both teams for the weekend. Thanks
Palace,For info, last saturday we managed our largest victory so far this season by beating the Italians of Azzurri by 4-0. It was a very accomplished performance from all involved (18 players, + 3 who came for supporting!!). Special mention to our new signing Joachim Tangen, who scored 2 goals. After the game, most guys went to Lugas and voted unanimously for Joachim as Man-of-the-Match (and Matt Costello for Donkey). Now let’s try to follow this good win by another one against one of the best team in our division, the ISB Dragons, who are currently top of the league (and who defeated us in the Cup earlier this season). The game is scheduled for Saturday 20th November it’s at 11AM kickoff at Choyang stadium, meet there at 10:30AM.Who is available? , please answer ASAP.Cheers,PatrickPS: training session as usual, tomorrow, wednesday, 8-10 PM at the Lido.
Palace,Unfortunately and for the second week in a row we could not take any point from our league game. Despite playing good football and matching a very solid French team for most of the game, we lost by conceding the only goal of the game with only 5 minutes left. Well done to all 18 players involved. This week-end we are playing another tough opposition, namely the Italians from Azzurri B, a team who often did well against us in previous seasons. The game is scheduled for Saturday 13th of November, 2 PM kick off at the Choayang Stadium, our usual venue.Who can play? Please answer ASAP so that we have a good idea of who is available before tomorrow training session.Cheers,Patrick
Citizens,FCFC vs Fortuna this Sunday, Match details to be confirmed as the league has yet to decide whether we play at 2pm or 4pm @ Lido (and still an outside chance we might play at 6 @ Chaoyang). I know it’s a little confusing but we should get confirmation by this evening. So Let me know you availability for 2-4-6pmFortuna are a good football side, make sure you make yourself available for a great game. I’ll of course follow up with the Squad selected.Cheers,Philippe
Palace,Well done to all involved in last sunday game, a 2-2 draw vs a solid Barbarians B team. A game we dominated but that we would have lost if it wasn’t for Yasir’s last minute equalizer. Apart for a 15 minutes spell in the 2nd half when we let them scored twice (on the only chances they created!), I think we played good football, moving the ball well, creating many chances. Our next game is against the Chinese team Shenzhen Development Bank. The game is scheduled for this coming saturday, 23rd October, 4PM kick off at Chaoyang Stadium, our usual venue. Meet at the pitch at 3:30PM.Who is available?PatrickPS: we are actually top of the 1st Division league table with 7 points:check the results on the IFFC website:http://www.iffc1994.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1508&Itemid=99
Citizens,A great start to the season with victories over the weekend for Both Summer Palace (3-0) and Forbidden City (5-0). Palace managed to secure all 3 points with goals from new boys Manuel and Gabriel and old school winger Rowan to make it 3-0 against the young side: Lao Hu Internazionale.City squeezed 5 goals passed the Italians of Azzurri and just like Palace, managed to keep a clean sheet. The goals came from Matty, Ally 2, Ivan and Andy (you can check out the updated stats website)In this game too, new boys Ally, Du, Daniel, Gabriel and Sean all made a great impression.Highlights of the week included: Darren’s wedding, Congrats mate from all the lads, Tom “johnny Clegg” Ludlam’s last game, make sure you come back mate! & Benny Wu the Indestructible finally out of hospital and joining up with the team to share a few well earned…..sprites after the game.
