G10: Next Palace game vs Dulwich Lions

Palace,We had a great win last Saturday, trashing Athletico 8-1. It was the most accomplished game we played for a long time. Especially good was the fact that we kept focused even when the opposition started to play dirty. Goals came from Joachim (hat trick, that’s 5 goals in 2 games played for Palace!), Charles (another hat trick) and one each from Matt and Kieran. We are now 4th in the league (see the league table). This Saturday we are playing Dulwich Lions. There are below us in the league table but have 2 games in hand. They are a good side, they are the only team to have beaten the ISB Dragons so far this season and they also drew against the French. So we can expect a tough game. This match is scheduled for Saturday, 4th of December, kick off at 1PM at the Chaoyang Stadium as usual (meet at the pitch at 12:30).Who is up for it? Please reply ASAP and don’t forget to come to training on Wednesday, 8-10pm at the Lido if you want to boost your chance to be selected.Cheers,Patrick

Summer Palace vs Barbarians B

Palace,Well done to all involved in winning 2-1 against a strong side from WAB,last sunday, under scortching heat. It was a true club effort with importantcontributions from several regular City players. Special mention to JimMckay for a great long-range goal that went just under the bar. It made it1-1 just before half-time and deflated a bit the opposition. We are currently 8th in the league table but with 2 games in hand. Ourambitions should be to finish 4th.This weekend we have another important make-up game, this time against ourold rivals Barbarians. It’s always a tigh game versus this lot, so we cannotafford to be complacent and make a poor start (as we did last week againstWAB).The game is scheduled on saturday the 8th, for a 4 PM kick off at ChaoyangStadium. Meet there at 3:30PM.Who is available for this game?Cheers,PatrickPS:for info, here are the remaining league features of our season:THURSDAY 13th May: SP vs Dulwich Lions, Dulwich College, 8 PM KOSaturday 15th May: SP vs ISB Dragons, Chaoyang Stadium, 2PM KOSaturday 22nd May: SP vs Chaoyang Park Rangers, Chaoyang Stadium, 12 noon KOSaturday 29th May: Sp vs Azzurri B, Chaoyang Stadium, 4 PM KO
