FCFC Weekly News

Citizens! The weekend kicked off on Friday with our traditional FCFC Xmas Party, and with nearly 50 people making the most of Luga’s 4star Michelin dinner and the free booze, it was another huge success. Special mentions go to Manuel for showing all the new boys how it’s done and earning himself a free FCFC tracksuit, Jimbo for redecorating the Lugas toilet (and his own trousers in the process), Eduardo for his crowd surfing and Sheff donkey of the night for taking approximately 5 minutes to down his Tsingdao in the traditional Boat race!On the Pitch, City made it 11 wins in 11 games in the league, with another important 2-0 win against title contenders French Le. Old boy Rafi volleyed in the opener in the 1st half and Ivan punished them late in the 2nd half to make it 2-0 after 90 minutes. Top of the league with 33 points, a 5 point gap, best defense and most goals scored WE ARE CITY. Fantastic.Later that same day, The Palace boys joined forces with City at Lugas after their win against the Red Cards. Manuel, Adam N and Lucho with one goal a piece made sure the Dwellers claimed their 3rd win in a row. Palace remain in 4th spot close to the top 3!! Booya. This week we also say goodbye to old school Ryan “Waggers”, Marcel and Eduardo. All the best guys and be sure to keep in touch. We have nearly 2 months before the leagues kick off again, training will resume in January/Feb and in the meantime if you are up for it, Futsal on Mondays is a great way to stay in shape and have some great fun. (CIS on Liangmaqiao Lu 8-10pm).It’s been an absolute pleasure playing with you all, let’s make sure we keep this up in 2011. Have a well deserved break, Happy Xmas and a smashing New Year.Cheers,Philippe

Weekly news

Citizens,Another week of football success for the club. Palace was once again a tad unlucky to walk away from their game with just 1 point. In their 3-3 draw against SDB FC, Stefan scored a double from the penalty spot and Mikey hit the equalizer with the last kick of the game. Summer Palace are now fourth only a few points short of top spot.City managed yet again to completely outscore one of the best teams in the Premier league, winning 7-1 against the Hispano-Japanese team Fortuna 94. B-live opened the flood gates in the 1st half with a well taken left footed strike, followed with yet again a hat-trick from the Poneytailed Wudaoku Wizard. Philippe, Adam F and Ally managed one each. City are top of the league! Both teams remain undefeated in the IFFC leagues. In Training the infamous Bleep test returns this wednesday, be sure to make it out to compete with your mates and have a go at winning the top prizes.Coming games:Palace vs Beijing Celtics Saturday 12pm Chaoyang StadiumCity vs Barbarians Sunday 4pm Lido ParkSee you soonPhilippe
