Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2011

Dear Citizens (past and present),Forbidden City FC is sending the warmest Christmas wishes to you and your families and our best wishes for a wonderful New Year of health, happiness and fun.In 2010 we have been continuing to write the success story of FCFC and we are now considered to be the biggest club in Beijing´s expat amateur football scene. Currently, about 50 active players take part in FCFC’s two 11-a-side and various 5-a-side teams; there were even 25-30 players coming out for training in the cold Beijing December nights. A special thanks to everyone who is making this possible on and off the pitch. In the first half of the 2010-11 season, team “Forbidden City” won 11 out of 11 games in the IFFC Premier League and are top of the table, 5 points clear of second place and a whopping 12 points clear of third place; we have scored the most goals and conceded the least (see table here). Highlight was the 2-1 win against Afrika United coming back from one nil down. We are all geared up to run riot in the second half and making it a perfect season.Team “Summer Palace” is in fourth place of the First Division with 6 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses. Palace have scored more goals than any other team and have the second best defence (see table here). Highlight was back to back 8-1 and 10-0 wins in late November. Considering that all three losses were last minute heart breakers and that the team is getting stronger and stronger, we are looking forward to some butt kicking in the second half of the season. We invite you to follow FCFC’s progress on our website (http://www.forbiddencityfc.com/). The website is regularly updated and has some photos and videos, stats, upcoming events, etc.Be safe. Peace.JochenChairman, FCFC
